My name is Evrim, which in Turkish, means evolution.
Theory: a contemplative and rational type of abstract or generalized thinking, or the results of such thinking. So, I feel, that theory involves stepping back, or abstracting, from that which one is viewing.
This line of thinking led me to the namesake of my small Gallery, Evrim's Theory. My artwork has certainly evolved over time and as my life has progressed, so has my art. I love to think that pen and pencils are just extensions of my mind, working thru my hands, putting to paper fresh ideas that express my enduring love for life, my sympathy and compassion for nature, humanity, and Istanbul, my home.
